Letter from our Golf Day Founder

Alumni, golfers, friends, sponsors, staff, donors and especially all you volunteers,

​

Thank you to all who had a hand in another successful CYO CAMP ALUMNI GOLF DAY! Special thanks to alumni Tim Bosque and Dave Falzon for hosting a BBQ and cocktail party as part of the pre tournament socials. All who attended had a wonderful time. On Saturday, May 19th we gathered at Northwood Golf Course and held our 6th Annual Alumni Golf Day. 

 

The weather was perfect and I know every one had a good time. 

 

After the completion of the golf tournament we all gathered for lunch, awards, and our favorite beverages at the Union Hotel. Special thanks to Barbara and Frank Gonnella for being our very generous host for the 6th straight time! The lunch feature special guest speaker Catholic Charities CEO Ellen Hamerly and Catholic Charities CPO Tom Bowen. As usual all the winning Golf foursomes and individual contest winners were honored. This year Alumni Service Plaques were awarded to: Emily Ordway, Allen Horton, and Mary-Rita McElory Williamson. Thank you All for your continued contributions to Camp and Caritas Creek.

 

The last part of the afternoon I announced that I am stepping aside from my role as AGD Tournament Director/Host. In the future this role will be filled by Tom O’Connor, Charlie Buada, Joan Maxwell, and other Golf committee members TBD. The future of Golf day looks very bright. Please enjoy some of the featured photos taken by camp alumni Vicky Welisch. Thank you Vickey. Lastly due to all your efforts we were able to raise over $63,000.00! Have a wonderful summer.
